Adikath Abiola is a Beninese agricultural economist with a strong passion for research and development, as well as behavioral and experimental economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and has contributed to studies on climate-smart technologies and disease management strategies. With extensive experience in research and project management, she has served as a project assistant for the BBTV-Mitigation Project, an instructor at CERAP/EGAP, and a research assistant at the National University of Agriculture. She currently works as a consultant assistant at the Global Research and Consulting Centre (GR2C). She is also the co-founder of Greenworld Revolution, a social enterprise dedicated to expanding energy access through sustainable green solutions. Her research interests include developing innovative agricultural risk transfer strategies to enhance resilience in the sector.

Ms. Diakhate Massara is a PhD student at the Assane Seck de Ziguinchor University in Senegal, where she specializes in extreme event attribution. Her research focuses on the impact of climate change in Senegal, with particular emphasis on heavy rainfall and heat waves. She actively collaborates with establishments such as the Senegalese National Civil Aviation and Meteorology Agency (Agence Nationale de l’Aviation Civile et de la Météorologie – ANACIM) to develop climate indicators tailored to land infrastructure and transport as part of the National Climate Change Adaptation Programme in Senegal (Programme National d’Adaptation au Changement Climatique au Sénégal – PNAFEM). Passionate about sustainable adaptation to climate change, she strives to develop innovative and inclusive solutions that meet the challenges of various sectors, including agriculture. She also contributes to the climate change dialogue at regional and global levels to promote a concerted approach to this worldwide issue.

Ndoye Mame Sokhatil is currently in the final year of a doctoral programme in plant and microbial biotechnology and plant breeding at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Better Adaptaton to Draught (Centre Régional pour l’Amélioration de l’Adaptation à la Sécheresse – CERAAS). From the beginning of her academic career, she has always been particularly interested in climate change issues, which led to her choice of subjects for her Master’s and PhD studies. Her thesis focuses on “Identifying root traits that promote phosphorus uptake in millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R.Br) using the OpenSimRoot model.”

Dr. Eke Balla Sophie Michelle Aucun is an environmental economist and lecturer at the University of Douala, Cameroon. Her research focuses on the environment, agriculture, natural resources, sustainable development, climate change, gender, and food security.  Throughout her academic and professional careers, she has undertaken extensive training at prestigious institutions, including the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa, the University of Cape Town, the University of the Western Cape, the University of Lusaka, the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and the University of Yaoundé II. She has published several articles in international journals, including the Journal of Forest Research, ASC-TUFS Working Papers, the Journal of Forest Economics and World Development Perspectives, among others. She has been involved in several international research projects, as a research assistant at the Australian National University, the United Nations University (UNU-INRA), Tropenbos International and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
